The Radical Therapist #103 – Centering Queer of Color Theorists in Therapy w/ Meera Dhebar

In episode #103 Chris meets with Meera Dhebar and they discuss Meera’s doctoral and how queer of colour cultural knowledge can better inform the work and education of queer of colour therapists, and of the counselling field in general. The conversation includes how she seeks to move beyond the current frameworks of LGBT competencies and gay affirming therapy, to a practice called queer worldmaking which centers cultural knowledge, as well as queer epistemology, intersectionality and decolonial theories.
